Laurendel Shelties

Laurendel Shelties is a small hobby breeder who registers and shows its dogs with the American Kennel Club. In modern days we have a deep concern for the preservation of beautiful AKC purebred dogs. Our breeding dogs are tested for breed specific health issues, results are registered with the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, a database for health screening test results. Most of our breeding animals have been CHIC certified, you can view test results here on each dog's page or on the OFA database. We are located in Knightdale, North Carolina, a town just east of Raleigh. 

Through the generosity of Barbara Thompson we acquired Barwoods Georgette At Laurendel in 2002. Georgie is the dam of CH Laurendels Ambition and GCH Laurendel Bitter Conquest, she is the foundation from which our sable dogs continue on today. We became members of the Triangle Shetland Sheepdog Club of NC in 2001 and the American Shetland Sheepdog Club in 2010. We keep a small number of dogs, they enjoy being both show dogs and house pets. All puppies are born and raised in our home.
