Laurendel Shelties

Laurendel Shelties is a small AKC show-hobby breeder located in Knightdale, North Carolina, a small town just east of Raleigh. Through the generosity of Barbara Thompson we acquired Barwoods Georgette At Laurendel in 2002. Georgie is the dam of CH Laurendels Ambition and GCH Laurendel Bitter Conquest, she is the foundation from which our sable dogs continue on today. We became members of the Triangle Shetland Sheepdog Club of NC in 2001 and the American Shetland Sheepdog Club in 2010.

We keep a small number of dogs, they enjoy being both show dogs and house pets. Our breeding dogs are tested for breed specific health issues, most are CHIC certified through the Orthopedic Foundation For Animals, a database of health screening test results.
